Capcom announces Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, they will be released in September with the two Miles Edgeworth games on new consoles, with improvements and new languages… none of them Spanish.
Capcom has had two advertisements in the NintendoDirect of June: Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics and, for Ace Attorney fans, the last two games in the saga that remained to be released on modern consoles: Ace Attorney Investigationsmade by Miles Edgeworth.
The stubborn prosecutor and childhood friend of Phoenix Wright starred in two games on Nintendo DS, spin-offs similar to the Ace Attorney in the trials part, but very different in the previous phase: you directly controlled Miles in the scenarios.
First, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworthcame out in the West in 2010, but had very low sales (it only came out in English).
The second, Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor’s Gambit They didn’t even publish it outside of Japan, where it came out in 2011. Now, with Ace Attorney Investigations Collectionthey will change that, on September 6 on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
However, Capcom continues to search for a pending issue… that of Spanish language.
Miles Edgeworth will not speak Spanish in Ace Attorney Investigations Collection either
Ace Attorney Investigations will have multiple new features, in line with the two trilogies launched in recent years, that of Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justiceas well as the The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.
These include expressive new 2D illustrations (which are now optional, and the original sprites can be reactivated), history with all dialogue, story mode (which plays for you or gives you hints if you get lost), gallery mode, new soundtrack fixed…
Another novelty that they advertise in the trailers are the six additional languages: Japanese, French, German, Korean, and traditional and simplified Chinese.
But, as usual, there is no spanish. In fact, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth was the first one that, In its European release, it did not include Spanishsomething that was repeated even in the main Ace Attorney on 3DS (with the exception of vs. Professor Layton).
The combo is not broken with Ace Attorney Investigations: Collections, and it is a shame, because they are games with a lot of text. Capcom is supposed to be working on Ace Attorney 7, and we hope that with that it changes, and has a Spanish localization (because also the translation of the first Ace Attorney in Spanish was brilliant). But if you want to catch up, it will have to be in English.
If that’s not a problem for you, you have a court date with Miles Edgewoth on September 6, when Ace Attorney Investigations Collection release on Switch, PS4, Xbox One or PC.
