Fantasian, the magical RPG from the father of Final Fantasy with hand-crafted dioramas, will be released on PC, PS5, PS4, Switch and Xbox this winter, after being on Apple Arcade.
It was one of the most anticipated announcements of the June 2024 Nintendo Direct. Expected because it had been rumored for a long time (it had even appeared in the Steam database), but now it is official: Fantasy will be released on consoles and PC.
We talk about the last (and perhaps the final) game of Hironobu Sakaguchicreator of Final Fantasy, and with music by Nobuo Uematsumade at Sakaguchi’s independent studio, Mistwalker.
It will be Square Enix who publishes Fantasian, this Mistwalker game on PC and consoles, after being exclusive on Apple Arcade for three years. It will be released this winter on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Steam.
Hironobu Sakaguchi’s final fantasy, finally on PC and consoles
Many players who are passionate about JRPGs, or beautiful games in general, wanted to play Fantasian, but without a Mac, iPhone or iPad, it has been impossible since 2021.
That will change sometime this winter (this end of the year, come on), when Fantasian is released in the form of FANTASIAN Neo Dimension, subtitle for this improved version of the game, with New features like English and Japanese voice acting, and an additional difficulty option.
In this game, we will play Leo, who embarks on a journey to recover his memories and solve the mystery of the mysterious mechanical infection that is destroying the world.
Fantasian’s gameplay is turn-based combat with plenty of strategic elements, including the option to adjust the trajectory of a skill to attack multiple enemies at once, or send opponents to another dimension to confront them later.
But the most striking thing about the game is its art style, which has over 150 charming dioramas, all carefully handcrafted and scanned into the game.
Fantasian: Neo Dimension will be released later this year on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series anus.
